CVEC’s process starts with collecting paint from landfills, recovery centers, and even directly from private companies and citizens.
When the paint arrives at our facility, it is inspected and sorted into similar colors. After sorting, the paint is processed and tested using CVEC‘s proprietary recycling and reformulating procedures to create paints, primers, and specialty coatings.
Unfortunately, some of the paint we receive cannot be used in our recycling process. Water based latex paint deemed unusable for our products can be reused in the manufacturing of asphalt and concrete. After these recycling avenues are exhausted, we dispose of any non-recyclable paint in the most environmentally friendly way possible and ALWAYS in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
We also strive to recycle any other material used throughout our process, including the paint cans, buckets, and cardboard we receive the paint in.
